The Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series is the sportiest model in the history of the Maybach brand. It features a new and uniquely coordinated combination of colors and materials for both the exterior and interior, with the Maybach pattern serving as a unifying design element. These special accents are present everywhere, from the front to the rear, inside and out.
Upon its market launch, this convertible will offer two curated design concepts: the Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series Red Ambiance, characterized by a new two-tone body color of obsidian black metallic over MANUFAKTUR garnet red metallic. In the Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series White Ambiance, obsidian black metallic contrasts with MANUFAKTUR opal white magno. The strikingly bright red and elegant white embody sensuality, beauty, and lightness, perfectly expressing the philosophy and driving experience of the new model. Other exterior colors are available upon special customer request.
The interior features sustainably tanned, crystal white MANUFAKTUR Exclusive Nappa leather and trim elements in glossy silver chrome. The market introduction begins in Europe in spring 2025, with other markets to follow.

Iconic design perfected with exclusive Maybach-stylized elements and dual air intakes
In line with the brand’s philosophy, the Mercedes-Maybach SL offers a holistic sensory experience. Brand-specific contours and illuminated chrome grille are complemented by the finely integrated MAYBACH logo. The distinctive hood features an upright Mercedes star and a chrome fin that stretches from the front to the rear along the centerline. To further enhance exclusivity, the obsidian black hood is available upon request with a Maybach pattern embedded in the graphite gray solid color. This process is highly complex and is partially done by hand. First, the hood receives a base coat, which is then hand-sanded. The Maybach pattern is then embossed onto it. Each step of the process is technically sophisticated and must be executed with the utmost precision. The hood is then coated with a transparent matte lacquer, hand-sanded, and finally finished with another layer of transparent matte lacquer.
The interior of the headlights is finished with high-quality accents in rose gold. A dedicated front spoiler emphasizes the vehicle’s width with horizontal air intakes. The windshield frame is finished in shiny chrome, while an additional chrome insert adorns the sill trim. The Mercedes-Maybach SL rides on 21-inch forged wheels in a 5-spoke design or a multi-spoke configuration.
The extensively insulated acoustic soft top is made from light black fabric, with a subtly embedded Maybach pattern in anthracite. The rear features taillights with the Maybach seal, a brand-specific rear spoiler with a chrome trim, a purpose-designed diffuser, and exhaust tips with a distinctive horizontal bar. Behind the seats, an aerodynamically designed dual air intake enhances the individual look. Together with the chrome fin on the hood, it gives the two-seater a particularly elegant and sporty profile when viewed from the side, especially with the roof down.
The interior features Maybach-specific equipment and glossy, crystal white leather.
The sustainably tanned, crystal white Nappa leather creates an exceptionally refined atmosphere. It adorns the doors, center console, and the brand’s signature comfort seats. The seat upholstery features a new floral design. The area behind the seats is also finished in white leather. Galvanized seat backs and silver chrome accents provide a striking contrast.
The fully digital instrument panel and electrically adjustable central display include Maybach-specific startup animations and display styles. Additional brand identifiers include the steering wheel, stainless steel pedals, and stainless steel door sill trims.

The highest standards also apply to driving and acoustic comfort. Comprehensive measures ensure a quiet and comfortable, typically Maybach driving experience. This includes a noise-optimized exhaust system, an extensive package of insulation and absorption, as well as a comfort-oriented suspension setup and soft engine mounts. The combination of a 4.0-liter biturbo engine with 430 kW (585 hp) and a smooth 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission with tailored throttle response guarantees the exceptional dynamic driving enjoyment expected from Maybach. The fully variable 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive offers high traction even in slippery road conditions, enhancing driving safety. The standard rear axle steering combines agility and stability for maneuvering and a secure driving experience.

To complement the new Mercedes-Maybach SL Monogram Series, MAYBACH Icons of Luxury will offer a curated collection in boutiques and online stores upon market launch. This includes a leather jacket, sneakers, a scarf, a shopping bag, and a dog bag. Their design is inspired by the materials and colors of the convertible’s interior.
